Delightful boat tours at a discount…
Breath taking scenery from the comfort of a luxury boat, Crannog Cruises are one of our favourite ways to explore Lochaber. And if you’re staying with us, it’s just £10 instead of £15!
On board Souters Lass you’ll take a 90-minute tour through Loch Linnhe learning all about the area. The informative skippers are full of stories about everything from the scenery, history and wildlife of the area, to crofting, salmon fishing and even the deep-sea diving that goes on.
You’ll get to experience some of Scotland’s best wildlife on the trip with porpoises, seals and even golden eagles commonly spotted. And the surrounding scenery includes some of the best views of the southern slopes of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain.
There’s a heated viewing lounge on the boat so the cruises can still be enjoyed when the pesky Scottish weather takes a turn for the worst. But if you’re worried about a wee breeze, they do provide blankets on deck and you can pick up a hot drink in the lounge.
You can choose to include a three-course lunch at Crannog’s loch-side restaurant after the cruise. They serve up fresh Scottish seafood, and it’s just £27.50 for the cruise and lunch.
Throughout July and August there will also be evening cruises out on Loch Eil, which means you can enjoy all of the beautiful scenery in the setting sun.
Crannog Cruises are a definite must if you’re in Fort William.
